Before Starting a diet, you need to figure out your ideal weight. This will be your guide on your weight loss mission. How fast you lose weight will depend on how much weight you need to lose and how focused you are on your diet.

Here are some easy tips to help you lose weight:

1.Figure out how many calories you typically need in a day. If you dont do any excercise, multiply your weight (in pounds) by 15. If you are reasonably active, multiply your weight by 17 and if you very active, multiply your weight by 20. This will tell you the average calorie intake your body needs per day.

2.Eat your fruits and vegetables. You need at the least 5 servings per day. Doing this will put you on the right path to a healthy body, Fruits and vegetables have beneficial fibers, vitamins and antioxidants. They also make you feel full faster, which helps to prevent over eating.

3.Keep an eye on the quantity of food you eat. Avoid high calorie foods and eat small servings.

4.Don't skip meals. When trying to lose weight you may be tempted to starve yourself. But eating smaller amounts of food more frequently can help you maintain a healthy, balanced calorie intake throughout the day. You can even divide the standard allocation of 3meals into 5 or 6 smaller meals.

5.Fresh fruits and vegetables are ideal. Packaged and processed foods are high in sodium and fat. You’re more likely to lose weight if you only eat natural fresh foods.

6.Don't limit your food intake too much. It’s OK to indulge yourself once in a while. Just make sure to eat in moderation and use those special treats as rewards, not enemies, to your weight loss experience.

7.Don't believe everything you read on food labels. “Fat free” doesn’t necessarily mean low in calories. The same goes for foods that boast “low sugar” or “low carbs.” Read over the nutrition label, there you will find the products calorie count.

8.Try to limit the number of juices and sugary drinks you have. Instead try to drink 8 glasses water a day. Water also helps to flush out your body's toxins and waste.

9.Try to keep a food journal. This helps you to keep track of your calorie intake and will be a daily reminder of the types of foods you need.

10.Exercise!! 30 to 60 minutes of exercise a day will keep you healthy and help you lose weight.
